Football Standout to Doctor of Physical Therapy

Meet Dr. Jermaine Lee!

A former professional athlete in the CFL (Edmonton Eskimos) and Eagle Scout, Dr. Lee felt he was accomplished but still had a desire for more. He also knew that he wanted to have a positive impact on the community aside from athletics. It was at this point, after his football career came to its close, that he decided to pursue his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While in school Dr. Lee continued to remain active in the community through a volunteer relationship with Boy Scout Troop 300 of Hempstead New York, a primarily African American troop.

As a doctor of physical therapy Dr. Lee hopes to be a positive example for younger African Americans in his community. He wants any student considering pursuing a higher level degree to know that, "if I can do it, anyone can". He adds "good or bad everything passes in time, ride the wave. Win little battles daily, that is how you win the war!"
